  1. I find easy to ask for love and compassion for me. I’m reasonably good at feeling love and compassion towards those that undergo the pains and troubles I share or understand. I am not too bad at feeling some love and compassion for those indifferent to me. And I am not skilled at all at extending my love and compassion towards those I blame for my troubles and those of the guys for which I already feel compassion.
    The first two skills are good, the third one changes the scale of what we can do, but the fourth skill is the one I believe has an enormous transformative power. It just requires willingness and deep practice. I am not there yet.

  2. I concur. I am at least conscious of the power of the fourth kind, if not too effective at producing it, so far. I continue to practice. :}
